Targets

Jack Layton has spent the early days of this election chasing the votes he needs to become Prime Minister. Although that plan is more marketing campaign than likely reality, a side effect of his strategy is not spending much time in NDP held ridings, like the Burnabys, and more time in enemy territory, like Vancouver Centre tonight.

Where Layton may not be spending time, Stephane Dion is. Dion has been scheduled as a distinguished speaker at the Burnaby Board of Trade on Tuesday. Gerry Lenoski will likely appreciate the help as he tries to bump the Liberals up past Peter Julian.

No word yet whether Tory leader Stephen Harper or Elizabeth May of the Greens will be making stops in this battleground suburb.

Depends whether the parties consider Burnaby a real battleground (the decision is not made locally, but rather at the national level).

Dion simply is going where he can easily show his face.

It won't make much of any difference in the vote outcome.

What you will see is a rather anemic Lenoski trying to get votes,
and Bill Cunnigham doing the same thing.

Nothing new at these bun tosses.

You'll also see alot of the "have to be there to see and be seen" types.

Then there's those that go to these things and do nothing except try to look important.

"Gerry Lenoski will likely appreciate the help as he tries to bump the Liberals up past Peter Julian."

That has to be joke, right?

Look for Julian to be returned to Ottawa as will Siskay.

Maybe Gerry can interest Stephane in investing in that China based electrical switch manufacturing company that has insurance that he was trying to drum up investment for(Asia Electrical Power Internation Group) Some of the neutral revenue from the Carbon Tax is supposed to go to subsidize "green companies".

Yeh, sure and maybe Gerry can interest Stephane in supporting Iggy in the upcoming leadership convention next year.

Hey, do you think that Harper would want to show his face in town when this guy is his candidate?
