Harper out, Perry in

Doug Perry is the Green candidate in Burnaby-Douglas.

Perry ran in Vancouver South in the last two elections, finishing fourth. His occupation was listed as holistic practitioner/instructor and self-employed in those elections.

Perry promised in 2006 to focus on a variety of toxic chemical pollution related issues. Given he seemed to be very focused on this one environmental issue he will not likely win too many votes away from the other candidates. This time he seems to be focusing on hybrid vehicles. He will likely finish with the 1600-odd votes the Greens usually pick up in Douglas unless he actually runs an active campaign.

It was interesting how Cunningham emphasized how important it was for an MP to represent the interests of his community and distanced himself from his party and its national campaign.

Sounds like a real winner for the Greens.

Their roster of candidates really has to make you wonder if they really are a serious national party.

Maybe keeping them off of the debate was a good idea after all.

If the Greens had any brains they would run him in Calgary Southwest but no one said the Greens were a smart bunch.

I'm glad that we finally have a real choice in this election. Doug Perry is a well grounded doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. He is knowledgeable in all areas of all the party's platforms ( accept the conservatives LOL WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF) . He for sure will be getting my vote.
