Mr. Davies goes to Burnaby

Vancouver Kingsway MP Don Davies is coming to Burnaby. Davies is having a fundraiser with Jack Layton on Saturday, January 23 at the Firefighters Banquet and Conference Centre.

Why is he holding an event in Peter Julian's riding with all the venues available in Vancouver Kingsway? Are the brothers at the firehall that big a part of the NDP coalition?

Don Davies??

whothehellishe?

If he's a guest here in Burnaby, for the Dippers why not?

Better him than Hedy Fry.

Not too many brothers at the Firefighters. It's not even a fire hall. The boys are too busy polishing the engine and playin' cards while watching the good ol' hockey game to be bothered with a moldy NDP MP.

RE: Who is Don Davies?

MP for Vancouver Kingsway, you can read all you would ever care to here:

As for the fundraiser, it is a joint NDP fundraiser for ridings across the Lower Mainland.

The bond between the NDP and their labour brothers and sisters are the main reason the NDP will never be ready for prime time.

They will continue to win the odd provincial election and proceed to be booted out on their arse in droves several years later for being owned by the labour special interest groups (BC twice and Ontario once) and never really have a chance of being other government or opposition party nationally.

"The bond between the NDP and their labour brothers and sisters are the main reason the NDP will never be ready for prime time. "

Actually they had.

"They will continue to win the odd provincial election and proceed to be booted out on their arse in droves several years later for being owned by the labour special interest groups (BC twice and Ontario once) and never really have a chance of being other government or opposition party nationally."

Actually BC three times:

1972-1975
1991-1996
1996-2001

Campbell won the largest share of the popular vote, but the NDP won what counts, the largest number seats.

Campbell bombed badly in that 1996
provincial election (tried to tell
everyone he would sell BC Rail, and
came up with some idiotic guitar
and plaid shirt act and something
strange called a Taxpayer Guarantee).

and you don't think the BC Liberals aren't "owned" by the boys on Howe Street?

try again on the next spin when your turn comes.

Hopefuly by then the BC Liberals will get smart and have a new leader that actually shows leadership and not wanting a benevolent totalitarian dictatorship in his or her party.

As for the fundraiser, so what?

The BC Liberals have had regional fundraisers, and no one squawks about why Harry Bloy would be in
aother riding other than his own.

How does renting out their hall equate to support?
The firefighters are just making money on this.
That's all!

Agree there. Seems a few right wingie dingies are making something out of nothing.

Too much time on their hands watching Iggy make an idiot of himself, or trying to convince
people that a Conservative MP could
actually exist in Burnaby.

Actually ... ?

Charles Henry Cook, was the Progressive Conservative MP in the gerrymandered riding of North Vancouver-Burnaby from 1979 to 1993. RIP

The poster was referring to recently, not something that existed and ended 17 years ago.

Cook at the time was more of a North Vancouver MP, than a Burnaby MP.

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of hardship when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
Nowadays, I'm happy and lucky , I started take up real income.
It gets down to select a correct companion who utilizes your funds in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, parts and divides the income with me.

You may ask, if there are such firms? I'm obliged to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:

Yeh? What is it?

"There have were times of hardship when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments."

Have go and find 'em yerself. Troll
the local waters.

"I was a dump and downright stupid person. "

You've come to the right place.
This place IS a dump.

"I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big initial investment."

Thought that way when I wrote out
a cheque to John Nuraney's campaign last year.

"Nowadays, I'm happy and lucky , I started take up real income. "

Job at Future Shark at Station Square goin' well fer ya? Sold a few suckers into those extended warranties?

"It gets down to select a correct companion who utilizes your funds in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, parts and divides the income with me."

Thought about that myself until the stupid partner burnt the business.

So, how did the party go?

And how much money did the firefighters bring in?

1/30/2010 1:22 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Is that important? There weren't any firefighters there in any large volumes.

They're more interested in firefighting than listening to a moldy politician.

The federal Liberals in Burnaby have alot more they should be worring about.

Starting with replacing their current leader.

Michael Ignatieff will show Jack Layton how to do a fundraiser. He'll be appearing at a reception at the Opus Hotel in Vancouver on February 11. Tickets are $500 per person. That fill up the Liberal warchest.

The federal Liberals will have that $500 per person revenue burned off like a bad peat bog fire in no time.

The revenues won't last very long especially with the money sucking political hacks wanting those coveted jobs and stating far too much they want for doing them.

Peat bogs burn slowly, and for a very long time.

I think that's what the Liberals would like with their war chest, too.
