Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party (or Jack's back)
Jack Layton is expected to be in Burnaby tomorrow. Layton will be in town midday for a rally to help Bill Siksay hold on to the seat which is being hotly contested by Conservative radio commentator Ronald Leung.
Bill Cunningham does not appear to be getting another visit from Stephane Dion. There is no word yet on a city visit by Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

There wouldn't be any need for harper to visit Burnaby.
Jack is just politiking.
He's really come up with a dumb idea.
Setting Punjabi to official language status??
What happened to Chinese (Traditional)?
Agreed about the Punjabi thing. Is he on crack.
We have enough problems with French and English.
Wow...Jack Layton surely picks the right riding after his announcement. Pitting Cantonese vs. Punjabi. But that sounds great. This will put NDP in perpetual minority until the day Indo-Canadians outlive others.
As for Dr. Leung vs. Bill Siksay. Why is Bill Siksay getting a second visit from Jack Layton has anyone wondered? Maybe it is not as safe as many NDP insiders are telling themselves. The signs, including the ones on the lawns, are all pointing to a win for Dr. Leung. It will be interesting to see him in the next Harper cabinet.
The polls continue to see Burnaby Douglas as a three-way race, despite what the commenters here say.
Watch for the NDP to lose votes from the last election. Whether those lost votes go Liberal or Green will determine the next MP.
That was a pretty vacuous "event" as portrayed on CTVNewsnet.
Seems Jack's idea of a campaign is promising everything to everyone. "Who wants more .... ?" That's fine for a third or fourth line party leader, but not for someone who claims to be running for Prime Minister.
Cost the damn stuff out, Jack.
There's a financial crisis in this country.
And you're not helping.
"Watch for the NDP to lose votes from the last election. Whether those lost votes go Liberal or Green will determine the next MP."
Hahaha...that is too funny. Read the national poll and battleground poll before you start publishing your "analysis". As much as I am optimistic about Dr. Leung, there is little doubt that NDP's votes have increased since last time. And it is already an open secret that NDP is positioning themselves for official opposition.
I however do agree with the above blogger and actually think that if Jack Layton wants to play the Dion card, "vote for me and I will buy you some flowers", he will drive NDP all the way to the ground. Otherwise, I do see 50% chance NDP will make it to the official opposition bench, but without the presence of Bill Siksay however who unfortunately has faced the strongest conservative challenger by far most popular among non-incumbents.
