3 Bills, or if at first you don't succeed try, try again

Given the coverage Billy Cunningham received today on CKNW's Bill Good one is not surprised to see the Burnaby-Douglas Liberal nomination is fast approaching. Maybe he can figure out why he did not beat Bill Siksay the last two times and correct that for the next election.
Maybe the social networking Facebook group "Campaign to Elect Bill Cunningham Member of Parliament for Burnaby Douglas," a group by Roy Bornmann was the missing element of the perfect Burnaby-Douglas campaign.

Is Billy Boy actually going to have to face a real nomination contest or is he going to be annoited with a a circular pat on the head and magically turned into a candidate again by the federal Liberal leader?

The guy should face a strong stiff
nomination contest. It would do him good.

He's had it too easy for too long.

How could he face a nomination contest. The Liberals will probably have a tough time finding any suckers to run against him. They should be glad if he agrees to run.

Bily Boy should face a nomination contest, and a stiff one. Would
improve his campaign skills.

Certianly the Liberals can do better.

Billy Boy has had two chances to make the play and ended up crunched
into the boards.

Who in their right mind would put him on the ice against the NDP and Conseratives?

This isn't Ice Capades and we've already seen Billy Boy do double axels figure eights and pirouettes.

That would be Paul Martin, Mr. Dippers.

Will Billy Boy be challenged for the nomination? We all know he wont so what's the point.

I think our blogger had made a valid point asking conservatives to consider taking up Garth Evans to run in this riding, (anyone running in B-S riding is going to be toast against the Peter Julian, who decided to trade prominence for grassroot support). Bill Siksay is obviously the less favourite of the two Burnaby MP's for NDP city councillors and mayor.

Considering that Garth Evans is federal Liberal, not Conservative.

Quite a few people are in Siskay's riding, including Lee Rankin.

If you go through the facebook group you see that his nomination meeting is tonight.

I think he'll beat Siksay this time - Siksay is mediocre mediocrity.

15 minutes total for registration?

Something ain't right there.

This seems to be staged, an act.

Cunningham won't beat Siskay.

Cunnigham is mediocre himself.

No kidding, dufus.

This is just to fulfill the constititional requirements, if there are any.

Just like the postage stamp sized
notices that the BC Liberals put into the local papers to announce their AGM's, hoping no one sees them, but techically fulfills constitional requirements.

There's some pictures up on the facebook site - looks like it was a good turn out for an acclamation
