Julian in crosshairs of conservative blogger
Burnaby-New Westminster second-term NDP MP Peter Julian has been leading the battle cry (amongst elected officials) against David Emerson's preemptive floor crossing to stay in Cabinet. Now conservative blogger Stephen Taylor is pointing out Julian's inconsistencies. Julian is continuing to criticize Stephen Harper as partisan regarding ethnics despite Harper offering up the ethics job to former NDP leader Ed Broadbent, who had to decline the post because he is looking after his ailing wife. Broadbent is a noted critic of current ethics commissioner Bernard Shapiro.

The guy is right most of this anti Emerson stuff is Waddell and his cronies stirring up the heat because he is embarrased to have lost against Emerson when it appeared he had a chance.
Does the Emerson thing stink? Absolutely, but the answer is not to go after Emerson as much as the crappy system that let this happen and Waddell and the rest of his party have not been doing much up to now to fix this. As a matter of fact the outrage will last just long enough for the NDP to be on the other side and all will be forgotten.
Didnt hear the Libs complaining too much when Joe Peschisolido went from the Alliance to the Liberals or the NDP when Gordon Wilson crossed the floor to them. Wasnt Waddell in cabinet at that time as well?
Waddell was Sports Minister when Gordy crossed the floor to the NDP.
Wilson was made a Minister of sorts as he was speaking alot about BC Ferries at the time.
What about Keith Martin crossing from Reform/Alliance to the Liberals?
The two young men who dumped manure at mr. Emerson's office yesterday were from New Westminster- not even David Emerson's riding.
What gives? Is it possible that they heard Brother Julien, MP for Burnaby New Westminster, trash talk Mr. Emerson? Is it possible they live in his riding? That they might in some way be connected to his last campaign? That they might even be dippers?
Holly cow, Batman. We better ask Mr Shapiro to launch an investigation here on whether or not Mr. Julien has broken an MP's code of ethics. Surely it is highly unethical to in any way be associated with vandalism on another member's constituency office.
