NDP convention thread

The NDP officially loosened its ties with big labour by making the party one member-one vote instead of the weighted preference for organized labour unions that was previously part of the party's formal structure.

Feel free to discuss the NDP Vancouver convention, Carole James, Jack Layton, and the NDP's fortunes in the upcoming election in the comments section.

Didn't go far enough. Problem is even if they wanted to they can't. Too much history with labour. They will try to spin it as a big move but really just window dressing. In one way or another Sinclair and his bum buddies will control the NDP.

They still do. Through some means, the unions will convince their members to privately join the NDP
and move up the riding ranks so they can go to the convention.

After the member does that, then the unions will through advertising "recommend" what the member should do when they get to the convention.

So over a period of time, the unions will have representation,
not just as a block.

They will have a few Trojan Horses
at the convention.

Not a new thing.

Yes it does sound like window dressing. Voters are stupid but not that naive.
