Lang-quitlam BC Liberal fundraising dinner

Burquitlam MLA Harry Bloy and Iain Black showed the BC Liberal foothold is strong in the Tri-Cities last night. If selling out a sizable fundraiser is how the BC Liberals respond to last year's close call at the polls, Diane Thorne and Mike Farnworth of the NDP will have a tough time getting more NDP MLAs in what the Liberals' organizers like to call the Northeast Sector.

Bloy and company were joined by a full contingent of Langley MLAs, perhaps it was it also a joint fundraiser with the cash rich Langley ridings. Burnaby North MLA Richard Lee also put in an appearance as did a wide array of local junior level politicians including Coquitlam Mayor Maxine Wilson and failed federal and provincial Liberal candidates Jon Kingsbury and Greg Moore.

The evening highlighted what five years under the clear leadership of Gordon Campbell and his right-wing "liberalism" could do for a province that once again has a triple-A credit rating. Heck, even the majority former NDP Premiers are Liberal-friendly, at least federally, nowadays.

Attaboy, Bloy -- and Iain Black too.

Yawn.

MLAs table hop from one riding's fundraiser dinner to another.

Nothing new there.

The fundraisers are not much more than preaching to the choir.

The majority of NDP premiers are Liberal friendly? That's hard to believe, but then one has to think about the quality of those.

Premier "Fat Dave" Barrett? Not likely.
Dave is as socialist as they come.

Premier "Bonehead" Harcourt? He'll do
anything for attention (just like Harry)

Premier "Glenocchio" Clark? Yeh right.
He hated capitalism and large corporations until the time he got his
first paycheque from a real job.

Premier" Dan the Man" Miller? Warranties are longer than his term.

Premier Ujjal Dosanjh? Most NDPers
wouldn't want him back anyway.

Another overhyped fundraiser from the BC Liberals.

Wash, rinse, spin, repeat.

The only thing clear in regards to Gordon Campbell at that fundraiser was the wine in his glass.

Hope he didn't have too many before he drove home.

As for the Northeast Sector (?) the NDP
is most likely calling that area

"Primary Target"
