hmm seems to be a pattern with burnaby new west neo cons... parachute candidates over homegrown talent. Yet continually, nothing better than 3rd place finishes. Next election, nothing changes. Maybe the conservatives should adopt the 82nd Airborne's insignia for their nomination campaigns, as it seems that the parachute candidates are preferred to the domestic ones.
Ohh sorry... but did the liberals manage to get someone elected federally in Burnaby? Find good candidates, like mary pynenburg???? If she was so great, why did she lose by over 3000 votes to Julian? As for the re run election of the 2004 election in Burnaby Douglas... same results.
Strange that I haven't seen any federal liberal in Burnaby willing to speak out on the softwood lumber sell out, although allegedly the federal party is against it.
And that's ok about losing candidates to the Liberals. The ones that leave are pretty much useless to the federal NDP anyways. Dosanjh, Rae, and what's his face the former head of the IWA... Dave Who????
Rosemary Brown. She was the Edmonds MLA, and when she was first elected in Burnaby she lived in Point Grey.
Then she conveniently moved to Burnaby five or seven years later but not to an NDP supportive neighbourhood. It made the local news as to why an Edmonds MLA was hadn't moved from Point Grey.

Considering that he doesn't even live here.

Hold your guns, cowboy. Warawa
hasn't been nominated yet. Those
neo-cons haven't had their meeting.
The NDP has a habit of losing candidates to the federal Liberals.
and here in Burnaby the NDP has
a habit of nominating publicity seekers who don't do much except talk.
Us federal Liberals find good candidates, well except for Billy Boy Cunningham who was appointed.

My my the NDP are so sure of themselves.
There was "Red Dawn" (Dawn Black) before Foresth was elected.
No riding is safe.
SO what's next? The NDP takes out
John Nuraney in Bby Willington.
Dream on.
All NDP candidates are useless to the NDP, not just the ones that have fled to the Liberals.
To the Libs credit, Gurdev did speak out in a letter to the local rag criticizing Julian and siding with Emerson a few months back.
Gurdev has the power. Gurdev is
the Almightly and Most Revered.
Too bad the Dippers in Burnaby can't see Julian for what he really is.
A publicity hound.
He's learned from the best in the business.
Svend Robinson.

I wonder if Jordan Bateman still considers his buddy MLA Mary Polak to be a Surrey girl.
I guess it's okay to be hypocritical in choosing which parachute candidates to criticize when you're campaigning for the BC Liberals.
Who the hell is Jordan Bateman?
There was a parachute NDPer here in Burnaby.

The classic "Cadillac Socialist."
It's all there at the Library.
