Corrigan in '09?

One woman's tragedy, is another New Democrat's opportunity. Could current Burnaby Citizens' Association Mayor Derek Corrigan be NDP leader by the 2009 election? In which of Burnaby's three realigned ridings would he run?

Actually there's four ridings in Burnaby, and passage of the STV referenda in 2009 would mean the
process would be set for the next election after that.

Who says he will run?

Kinda sick that someone would take an advantage of someone's misfortune for political gain,
but that's a few BC Liberals.

No class.

I dont think he would run. He is too cozy at city hall and really does not have wide appeal outside of Burnaby.
Of course the reason he wins Burnaby elections is because of the low turnout for muni elections.
Running for premier is a bigger fish to fry.

Agree there.

Corrigan has a large support base as does some of the BCA councillors.

Even some Conservative/Liberals have voted for BCA candidates because some of the offerings from Team Burnaby were just plain lousy.

Get better quality candidates and
a better campaign and a better community aware civic party and there will be rewards, far better than the rewards doled out to those who got paid to run a lousy campaign that ended up with a large debt.

Poorly written item that supposedly is written by adults.

Worse than what could be seen in
the National Inquirier, World News or any other of those supermarket rags.

That's what BC PolyBlog is...

... a trashy tabloid that doesn't get the facts 100% correct.

Anyone who thinks BC Polyblog is
a credible, reliable news source
needs to check in to the psychiatric ward of Burnaby Hospital.

BC Poly Blog broke the story on the BCTF strike plans and provided the memo to prove it! They also had the final results of the BCTF settlement almost a day ahead of everyone else. Now they exposed Corrigan's run for the NDP leadership. Yep really trashy.

Anyone who believes Polyblog "broke" the story about the BCTF strike plans excusively has had one too many bowls of Super Sugar Crisp ceral.

As far as Corrigan goes, there's nothing to be exposed, since there is no primary memo or note from The Crab himself.

Again an instance of the effects of one too many bowls of Super Sugar Crisp ceral.

Wasn't that the fake article they created that caused a few media sites to link to the article which was then later revised with the address of BCPB in the image itself?

Crass amateurism at its best. Bullshit at its worst. Filthy BC Liberal staffers and their attempts to discredit all criticism.

BC Liberal staffers are filthy??

Some might take that to mean one other thing a person could figure
about them.

Strange that a dozen media outlets credited BC Poly Blog for the BCTF memo exposure and Jinny admitted on Global TV that the memo was real. Now if they wrote something stupid like "Nash for Premier" then I would agree they are trash.

Writing exaggerations such as speculating on Corrigan and the NDP is enough for anyone to consider BC Poly Blog trash.

Even The Tyee has better reporting than BC Poly Blog.
