Julian vs. the Liberals

Last week the Liberals picked a new shadow cabinet and it was huge. Burnaby NDP MP Peter Julian took the Liberals to task for ignoring BC, claiming that BC Liberal MPs had only one of the top 36 portfolios, Ujjal Dosanjh with foreign affairs.

Poor Don Bell and Hedy Fry with Gateway and the Olympics, respectively. It looks like their critic roles are not important to the Burnaby-New Westminster MP who is critic for Gateway and the Olympics himself.

Actually Dion has tried his best, but I expect Liberals to lose seats in the west. If Brtish Columbia is ready for a tory majority government, the first people out would be the Liberals.

ummm...if British Columbia were ready for a tory majority government noone would care. BC has returned a majority of Conservative/Alliance/Reform MPs since 1993 and generally that hasn't meant squat. It's about Ontario and Quebec and anyone who can read a poll can see that they are not only not ready for a Conservative majority, but they're also not very pleased with a tory minority.

As with the last two elections watch the tories lose more seats in BC.
