Soon to be NDP roadkill in the Sun

George Drazenovic, the former and future Burnaby-Douglas Tory candidate, is in today's Vancouver Sun on the letters page. Drazenovic, who looks strikingly similar to all his male relatives, comments on BC Hydro's plans after the latest change in direction over Nanaimo's Duke Point project.

Good for Draz and his effort to get his name in the paper. Unfortunately in the People's Republic of Tommy Douglas small gestures like this do not go far enough. If he wants to get elected his best bet would be to run for the NDP in that riding (or if he has no problems with being a long shot become the Liberal Party's BC wing president and then get national attention for blocking the nomination of Tony Kuo).

In the upcoming rematch of the 2004 campaign, expect the same order of finish for the three candidates although the NDP numbers should increase and the Liberal numbers might also increase. Somehow Draz's numbers will fall.
